Sabre Hospitality Solutions is looking for a technical Team Lead of Release Engineering to join our technology team. Responsibilities include supporting Sabre’s Development teams, managing deployments and releases using various internal and third-party tools, be on-call support 24x7 to support our most critical environments, improve release implementation/deployment by automating changes, investigate/troubleshoot and permanently resolve issues, and other duties as assigned.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Lead of the Release Engineering team spread across the globe
  • Manage and lead any day-to-day issues, projects, and release activities
  • Work with multiple stakeholders to successfully implement changes
  • Create and manage Release Engineering processes and procedures
  • Drive effective teamwork, communication, and collaboration



  • Experience with both Windows and Linux operating systems
  • Use of Ansible, Puppet, or Chef server configuration management
  • Understanding Infrastructure as Code
  • Clear understanding of various delivery pipeline approaches
  • Jenkins/ Bamboo or other job control tools
  • Required to participate in team on-call support 24x7 (approx. 1 week per month)


Additional assets:

  • Design and improve current home grown internal release tool
  • Experience with AWS is plus but not required
  • Experience with branching strategies (GIT, SVN, other SCM tools)
  • Understanding of Micro services designs and service oriented architectures
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both verbally and in writing


Job Requirements


  • Computer Science Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required
  • Master’s degree in a technical discipline preferred


  • 7 plus years in Systems Engineering/DevOps roles with at least 1 to 2 years of leading a successful technical team
