Costing administrator/Bid Specialist

The Costing Administrator (Bid Specialist) will be working in a team environment to process requests generated by the sales floor. He or she will be engaging both vendors and suppliers to leverage pricing programs and other tools and resources.


  • Manage requests to the bid team’s Inbox
  • Work with a team of account executives to help increase their revenues and profits.
  • Obtain pricing support for sales quotes via vendor and/or distribution partners
  • Develop strong working relationships with key vendors and suppliers
  • Log and track all bid opportunities along with status updates and margin gains
  • Work with the Rebate Specialist to help investigate refused claims and recoup funds
  • Update the Bid Department’s Intranet page by posting the most up-to date price lists, program information and promotional collateral
  • Upload most current price lists into the internal system
  • Generate a weekly sales funnel report and vendor open quote report. Reports to track registration and vendor opportunities will be performed monthly
  • Verify orders for accuracy of pricing in terms of a rebate and distribution cost


  • College or university background in business or administration preferred.          
  • Two or more years in a similar role, preferably in the IT industry.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills; Bilingualism in both French and English is mandatory.
  • Knowledge of Word, Excel and the Internet. 
  • Ability to manage concurrent projects/tasks simultaneously. 
  • Strong desire to work in a dynamic team. 
  • Excel and SAP experience are assets.
