About the Team

You will lead a team of Network Engineers that are responsible for designing, building and supporting Williams-Sonoma's data networks. The team's job is to ensure that every WSI location, associate and customer has the best experience possible, using a vast array of applications, over Williams-Sonoma's networks.

About the Role

In the Technical Lead Manager role, you will be responsible for designing and delivering networking services. You will lead a team of engineers to deliver on network performance and availability solutions based on your internal customer's requirements. Under your technical leadership you will develop new integrations along with a plan to optimize existing systems. An ideal candidate will be unrelenting at implementing good design principles, solid development practices and deliverables that are secure, repeatable and scalable.

This role reports to the Director of Networking, Telecom and Security Engineering.

Guide the team's development of scalable network designs, solutions and standards using cutting edge technologies and leveraging expertise from other neighboring engineering groups

Lead capacity planning, monitoring and performance tuning efforts for all corporate, store, eCommerce and distribution center networks

Hire, train and mentor network team members

Drive project requirements for the design and implementation of advanced network architectures

Ensure documentation of the network is kept up to date

Communicate strategies, project feasibility and timelines to internal Business and Project Stakeholders

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

You have a BS or MS in Computer Sciences, Engineering, or related field (an equivalent combination of related education, training, and experience may be considered)
*

You have a minimum of 5 + years leading networking teams in large enterprise environments.
*

You are familiar with the principles of DevOps, through robust automation of the routine

You have superior oral and written communication skills with the ability to influence others
*

You are proficiency working in a complex, dynamic technical environment

*

You have knowledge of theory and principles of project management
