Position Summary:


The Global SC Operational/Process Excellence Leader in close association with the different Functions and Leaders is responsible for promoting and facilitating the implementation of Best Practices across Operations Globally concentrating on the Total Supply Chain ETE.


This includes, but is not limited to, ownership to promote the adoption of D-COM, other Special Projects outputs and it associated processes, Operations Processes Optimization, Supply Chain Processes Optimization, Complete Commitment to the implementation of CI initiatives and principles such as Lean, Demand Flow Technology, and Agile statistical approaches, development of CI principles skills and establishing a positive perception at all levels to inspire Continuous Improvement thinking throughout the organization.


A collaborative/team based approach between sourcing and operations will be embraced to achieve our optimum supply chain.


This position will be responsible to identify Improvement opportunities and to provide Guidance and Action Plans when KPI’s and other business indicators are not met or improved.  This position will require a minimum 25% international travel. 


Position Responsibilities:


  • Direct and execute initiatives to increase productivity and performance throughout the Dover Fueling Solutions (DFS) business concentrating on the Total Supply Chain processes and related Operational and Inter-function Processes
  • Supply Chain – Systemic approach to optimise order to cash – total value stream – transport-stock-supplier delivery-ERP.
  • ERP – deliver best practice across all sites – S&OP Process - Demand Planning (forecasting / MTS / MTO – production v service best optimisation). Oracle Planning (MPS / MRP / Min-Max / ROP).
  • ERP – enable the processes and systems for Lean Logistics Pull Systems – Kanban / VMI / Consignment / 3PL.
  • Enhance locations operational skillsets through effective coaching, instruction and mentoring.
  • Challenge the status quo and guide leadership teams in the identification of cross–functional improvement activities and its solutions, concentrating on Material Flow ETE, Materials Management, and Inventory Optimization Global as well as supporting Sourcing initiatives.
  • Incorporate “Global CI Thinking” at all business growth and excursion activities.
  • Establish the appropriate infrastructure and related processes to assure success.
  • Lead specific Projects globally, as needed, measuring results against defined targets


The successful candidate will have/possess: 

  • Ability to balance tactical and strategic thinking on processes improvements with demonstrated skills in translating strategy into specific goals and tactics into action plans and deliverables.
  • Proven track record and Industrial experience in Operations.
  • Demonstrated track record in enabling ERP processes to Total Supply Chain resulting in an Optimized supply chain for Cost + Delivery.
  • Technical Master of Enterprise Resource Planning, Material Requirements Planning and Manufacturing Execution System. (ORACLE knowledge is beneficial)
  • Demonstrated technical mastery of CI tools and principles and its applications in an operations environment of a global nature.
  • Experience in leading and facilitating improvement initiatives in both transactional and non-transactional environment with emphasis in problem solving.
  • Demonstrated global business acumen with the ability to identify and understand improvement opportunities.
  • Superior organization, time management, and prioritization aptitude; demonstrated PM skills and ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated record of achievement in driving change management.
  • Proven ability to work well in a team environment, with sound negotiating and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in reading and understanding business reports, especially Financial Reports
  • Ability to combine initiative, integrity and professional discipline to accomplish difficulty tasks in a collaborative manner.
  • Effective interpersonal verbal and written communication skills across functions and management levels.
  • Proficient in MS Office,
  • Certified Lean Professional; certified MBB and DMAIC/DFSS will be preferred.


Qualification Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing or Engineering discipline is required, MS preferred
  • The successful candidate will have at least ten (10) years of experience with demonstrated success in leading breakthrough improvement initiatives and/or a leadership role in Operations.
  • The candidate will demonstrate significant experience in Total Supply Chain Management (End to End) improvement initiatives.
