The University of Cincinnati (UC), College of Engineering and Applied Science seeks to hire multiple Assistant/Associate Professor-Educators in the Department of Mechanical and Materials Engineering (MME).  Rank, salary and startup funding will be negotiated commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience.

 

The successful candidates will be expected to teach graduate and/or undergraduate engineering courses specific to their Mechanical Engineering specialty area (which could include computer aided engineering, advanced manufacturing, robotics, dynamics, mechanical systems design, and/or, thermal fluids engineering) in an online and/or in a traditional classroom setting and participate in service related activities. In addition, the successful candidates may participate in curriculum and course development, including distance learning classes and e-learning experiences.  Duties will also include advising undergraduate student project teams such as Formula SAE and mini Baja, advising Master of Engineering students, and organizing and conducting technical workshops for individuals in the Mechanical Engineering industry. 

 

The Department of MME offers ABET accredited undergraduate programs in Mechanical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering Technology. The department also has graduate programs that confer Master of Science, Master of Engineering, and Doctor of Philosophy degrees in Mechanical Engineering and in Material Science and Engineering. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:   A PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field is required.
