Are you a challenge-driven Project Administrator with proven track record  in project management methodology, processes and tools;  who is highly detailed and exceptionally organized?

 

In this role you’ll be… reporting to the Global Design Center Director, monitoring progress of projects and programs; and providing administrative support to entire team of multi-disciplined engineers.

 

You’ll have an opportunity to… contribute to the success of new product innovation by ensuring projects stay on track and within budget.

 

You should possess… a Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Science with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in New Product Development with impeccable project management tools and methodology skills.

 

Principal Activities/Duties/Responsibilities

•Support the Director in executing planned projects while contributing to the creation, improvement and deployment of processes and standardized work.

•Ensure appropriate metrics-collection processes are in place to enable accurate monitoring of trends.

•Monitor progress of planned projects and related budgets; anticipate problems and gaps.

•Deliver training on processes, project management tools, best practices.

•Ensure appropriate and timely routing of documentation requiring Director’s attention.

•Prepare reports and other documentation; set up and maintain shared files, database.

•Schedule and organize meetings and teleconferences.

•Responsible for day-to-day operations: security access; receiving visitors and shipments; prepare and ship packages; office equipment maintenance; order and maintain supplies; maintain neat, clean, and professional appearance of shared office space; etc.

•Manage internal and external communications, with prompt and professional response to all inquiries.

 

Education and/or Experience Required

•Read and critique project timelines and milestones using MS Office based tools.

•Proficient to advanced skills using full Microsoft Office Suite – specifically MS Project.

•Ability to monitor progress against a plan (budget, milestones, risks etc.).

•Ability to manage multiple plans, tools, dashboards, etc. and ensure successful execution of parallel activities.

•Knowledge of formal project management methodologies.

•Self-directed and confident decision-making.

•Professional demeanor; able to communicate with diverse cultures and personalities.

•Team player – acts with purpose and understanding of team needs.

Markem-Imaje – Watertown, MA, is an exciting expansion demonstrating our commitment to be the innovation leader in digital printing. This new, state-of-the-art, Global Design Center will be the hub for New Product Introduction of Laser- and DOD-based products. The office is situated close to Boston with easy access by car or public transportation.
