We are currently seeking a highly motivated Intermediate Railway Engineers to join our dynamic Rail &Transit Infrastructure Team located in our Mississauga office.

Responsibilities:

  • Designing track and railway infrastructures in accordance with the quality objectives and regulations, laws and standards; (ex. MTQ and AREMA);
  • Prepare and interpret specifications;
  • Assign and review the technical design work of junior engineers;
  • Be able to supervise a project team, ensuring the quality of work and compliance with the regulations, laws and standards;
  • Provide technical support during the construction of structures and coordinate the work supervision;
  • Participate in the planning stages, design and construction of the project;
  • Prepare reports on the execution of the work and follow the schedule;
  • Participate in the activities of cost estimates and recommend payments;
  • Participate in the preparation of technical specifications and bidding documents and assist in the analysis of bids;
  • Ensuring compliance with laws and regulations in health and safety on construction sites;
  • Perform detailed technical analysis, interpret data, make summaries and draft reports;
  • Visit construction sites to ensure the quality of the work and to carry out inspections.

Qualifications:

  • Hold a bachelor's degree in civil engineering;
  • Must have between three (3) to eight (8) years of professional experience in design or construction of railway infrastructure is a must;
  • Solid experience utilizing Civil 3D is a must;
  • Experience in project management of public or private infrastructures;
  • Technical experience in the planning and design of urban infrastructure;
  • Site experience working in railway;
  • Professional and experienced in relations with customers;
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal are essential;
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision;
  • Ability to work in order to meet cost targets, quality targets and deadlines;
  • Ability to maintain good working relationships with the various parties involved in the process;
  • Time management skills and ability to adapt to change;
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills;
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills in complex and changing environments.
