The Opportunity:

The Project Finance Lead is a one year term position responsible for leading and supporting execution and delivery of the Pulp EDGE system including transformation with a particular focus on Finance processes within Canfor Pulp.

The Role:

  • Responsible for completion of design decisions and functional specifications  impacting the Pulp EDGE solution; with a focus on the overall solution and on the Finance stream
  • Responsible for executing on process transformation and lean concepts embedded in the  finance design
  • Responsible for progressing through various phases of the project including design, testing, configuration, development of training materials, training, data conversion, go live cut over support and post go live sustainment for the Finance stream
  • Leadership of accounting professionals in the development and execution of improved finance processes; through strong training materials, training delivery and SOP’s

 

The Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree and recognized accounting designation
  • Five to ten years’ experience as a senior leader in an accounting environment
  • ERP project experience and execution of complex integrated business processes
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products, and working within an ERP system preferably JD Edwards Enterprise One
  • Team facilitation for quality and on time delivery of lean finance processes
  • Exceptional time management, organization, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent leadership, communication and relationship management skills
  • Demonstrated expertise and passion for continuous improvement
