Quality Assurance Analyst

Pharmacists Mutual has an opening for a Quality Assurance Analyst. This role assesses, tests, and validates new or modified software programs to verify functionality according to user requirements and Company guidelines. Acts as liaison between Business and IT resources. Quality Assurance Analyst * Will handle small to moderate scope projects with minimal guidance. * Creates and manages test plans. * Executes and coordinates testing to occur on projects and programs * May co-manage large scope projects with Business Analyst and/or Business/Executive sponsors. Senior Quality Assurance Analyst * Must demonstrate a history of high quality work and is capable of being a lead-by-example contributor to the department and team. * Guides testing best practices and develops new processes to enable testing. * Implements automated test processes and practices. * Strong experience in our system development life cycle and drives projects through our environments. * Directs technology changes into appropriate environments and serves as the gatekeeper for change control. * May manage corporate-level projects with Business Analyst and/or Business/Executive sponsors. * This position includes the roles of a trainer, mentor, coach, and Company representative and project lead. Essential Functions: Essential Functions may include, but are not limited to the following: 1.Leads projects with minimal guidance. 2.Develops and maintains test plans and test scripts for user interface, functionality, system and ad-hoc testing. 3.Distributes tasks to testing resources. 4.Executes regression tests, functional tests and data verification and testing. 5.Documents quality assurance practices. 6.Reports, tracks and determines priority of reported bugs in accordance with project scope and timeline. 7.Utilizes available computer systems, resources, and personnel to carry out quality analysis to support management's desire for performance improvement. 8.Reviews and analyzes information, processes, and procedures to determine the most efficient and cost effective business solutions for the Company. 9.Recommends alternative solutions regarding courses of action that best meet the corporate goals and solve computer-based business system matters. 10.Performs duties involving the design and improvement of computer-based business systems. 11.Confers with stakeholders to analyze current operational procedures, identify problems, and propose solution improvements. Position RequirementsKnowledge, Skills and Abilities * Thorough knowledge and ability to apply Company project management principles and practices. * Ability to successfully meet project management triangle of time, budget, and scope. * Assists Business Analyst in quality testing and implementation; including project research and design, documentation, and system requirements validation. * Ability to obtain and utilize sensitive information discreetly and objectively. * Ability to use initiative and apply innovative thinking. * Ability to organize and prioritize work. * Establish and maintain effective working relationships in a team environment through written and oral communication. * Ability to work independently to make critical decisions and analyze complex issues. * Contribute effectively to the accomplishment of all goals and objectives. * Ability to interpret and apply laws, rules and regulations. * Ability to obtain and utilize sensitive information discreetly and objectively. * Ability to maintain records and prepare reports/correspondence. * Read, interpret, and input data efficiently and accurately. * Correct English usage, spelling, grammar, vocabulary and punctuation. * Determine when to escalate concerns to the appropriate level of management. * Must be a highly motivated self-starter with excellent research, analytical and above average computer skills and knowledge. Minimum Qualifications Education, Training and Work Experience Quality Assurance Analyst * Associate's Degree from an accredited college or university with a business discipline. OR * An equivalent combination of closely related education (Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent), training and experience. Senior Quality Assurance Analyst * Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with a related business or technical discipline.
