Business Initiatives Consultant 3-Building Technology Analytics Platform Manager

Job Description

This position will be responsible for leading the work efforts related to the optimization of Building Management and Building Automation systems (BMS/BAS) leveraging industry best practices, technologies and analytics tools.  The overall accountabilities/responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Develop an overall strategy and platform for consistent administration, operationalization and deployment of building system technologies, certified by the Building Systems Group (BSG) – a critical team responsible for development of platform objectives and cyber security conforming solutions. The strategy should address program goals including:
o Leverage a variety of modeling strategies and simulation tools to understand and consider occupant impact and behavior.  Develop overall strategies that optimize efficiency and customer experience metrics, improving occupant satisfaction, and supporting occupant productivity and well-being.
o Leverage analytics and process improvement methodologies to provide a data-driven approach to capital investment strategy.
o Configure and manage deployment of Fault Detection & Diagnostics (FDD) alert rules for increased “Uptime” in support of business operational objectives
o Optimize building performance, energy/water efficiency and asset life.
o Work with Corporate Properties Group and other business partners to define and refine new business operational metrics.
o Support cyber security performance objectives and partnership expectations with Enterprise Information Technology and Security (EIT/EIS).
• Act as the operational subject matter expert (SME)/leader for categorical vendor/system performance – be the “driver” of the operational platform setting the performance standards and pushing for results across the portfolio. 
• Develop a multi-year implementation plan related to Intelligent Building (IB) platform - supporting the strategy, including a long term support model (roles/accountabilities), program governance structure, building/enterprise level key performance indicators (KPIs) and progress tracking to drive continuous improvement, documenting cost/benefit and lessons learned.
• Develop a plan to effectively communicate IB platform strategy, goals, tactics and progress at all relevant levels within the organization at appropriate intervals to demonstrate platform success.
• Promote a risk-aware culture; ensure efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to required standards and processes.
• Recommend retro-commissioning studies to identify opportunities for enhanced energy savings and improved building performance.
• Collaborate with the BSG to identify new platform features and tools.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: project management, implementation, or strategic planning

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Other Desired Qualifications

• BS with strong quantitative coursework (engineering, mathematics, statistics, economics, computer science, etc.) and background in analytics and process improvement.
• 5+ years of experience in Advanced Analytics/Data Science, BMS/BAS application in a corporate real estate or other real estate services organization.
• 3+ years of experience in an analytics leadership role, should have a strong track record of collaboration with key business partners and strategic program development.
• High level technical skill with mechanical/electrical systems coupled with a strong knowledge of building controls systems/software based monitoring platforms, energy management, and commissioning processes with the ability to run deep analytics and develop insights.
• Works effectively both independently and as a member of a cross functional team.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills working with all levels and departments of the organization.
• Strategic thinking capability – ability to toggle between site and enterprise level data to draw conclusions to help set a go forward strategy in alignment with Wells Fargo’s operating model
• Ability to communicate at tactical level within Wells Fargo and their third party service providers and vendors to influence desired outcomes supported by facts/data.
• Ability to develop/deliver executive level insights and recommendations for early adoption and continuous improvement of Intelligent Building platforms.
• Strong listening, oral, written, and presentation skills complimented by excellent problem solving and decision making capabilities are required.   Computer proficiency is necessary.
• Ability to lead, collaborate and influence a team of internal and external stakeholders to drive expected results.
