Regional Business Development Manager Remote/Home Office The Regional Business Development Manager within the CAES Microelectronics (ME) BD organization will be responsible for leveraging ME capabilities to find opportunities for each MES line of business within the assigned territory to help grow ME business.  Functions within this critical role will include: Conduct regular visits with all potential customers in the region to find and develop business opportunities.  Develop and maintain a visit plan showing which customers are to be visited and the frequency of visits.  Research customer technical specifications and requirements to align customer needs with existing or potential company products.  Effectively communicate to the customer base how these products meet customer needs.    Document these opportunities through the phasegate process.  Accountable for opportunity pipeline targets in line with business growth objectives.  Establish strong relationships with customer base in region.  Create a prospect pipeline of customer organizations with RF/Microwave needs.  Identify critical information on competitor activity and on program issues at each customer to assist the lines of business in making appropriate business decisions. Provide the technical interface between customer and company engineering, manufacturing, and program management functions.  Support BDM's, PM's and Customers in day to day program execution Maintaining a current and comprehensive understanding of current program/execution issues, challenges, and opportunities and conveying same to customers, business development and sector account executives as required. Investigate new applications or improvements to products with customers and provide inputs into product roadmap efforts to align research and development with future customer needs.  Maintain an in-depth knowledge of all MES products and capabilities.  Develop effective capture strategies in order to close on business opportunities.  Manage day to day efforts of advisors assigned to the region to maximize business growth in the region. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent education, plus fifteen years' experience in selling RF Microwave technology. Executive presence and proven leadership abilities. Candidate must be located local to the Tucson, AZ area.  Outstanding Communications skills Capable of functioning autonomously Good business sense and judgment US Citizenship Desired Qualifications: A natural communicator and influencer, using such strengths in often difficult and complex situations. Works with Functional Leaders, Business Development, Account Management, Operations, etc. to develop shared goals that support Position's accountabilities.
