The State University System of Florida Board of Governors is seeking qualified candidates for a Data Analyst position within the Office of Data and Analytics.  This position requires strong analytical and statistical abilities. 

Examples of responsibilities, duties, and activities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Data Analysis using SAS to query the State University Database System (SUDS).  Need proficient Excel skills to prepare statistical reports and analyze changes/trends in university data;
  • Conduct institutional research and policy analyses;
  • Assist with System-level accountability reporting;
  • Serve as liaison to various internal and external stakeholders involved in data and research, including university, college, state agency and legislative staff;
  • Assist other units within the Florida Board of Governors with regular and ad hoc institutional research assignments, as needed.


Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Statistics or Measurement/Statistics with two (2) years of experience using SAS to write and execute computer programs. Applicants must possess initiative and a strong work ethic, strong interpersonal, communication, and excellent time management skills; the ability to work in a team environment with changing and multiple priorities; strong analytical and problem solving; and make recommendations after thorough program code analysis. Experience in higher education administration and/or institutional research is desirable.  References are required.


Hiring Range: The anticipated hiring range is $40,000 - $50,000 per year.  Salary will be commensurate with experience and highest degree attained.
