NTT DATA Services currently seeks a Cerner Technical Operations Lead to join our team in Dallas, Texas (US-TX), United States (US).



The Cerner Technical Operations Lead is responsible for the coordination of ongoing maintenance for the technical infrastructure of the Cerner Millennium Hubs. It is important that this position understand the functionality provided across all Cerner product lines and user usage patterns in order to define the right processes to support our client’s business needs in terms of availability, performance, and user experience. This role will require occasional travel to the Dallas, TX market for team and client meetings (approx 25%)


Role Responsibilities:

  • Manages overall product evolution life cycle as well as works with the Architect to produce account specific time frames
  • Works with vendors on product support to minimize impacts to customer environment 
  • Helps develop clinical application and infrastructure requirements specific to client needs  
  • Performs current state assessments to determine the gap between client capability and that required by the approved standards 
  • Applies Cerner based best practices 
  • Develops application environment strategy and timeline associated with project and maintenance of the Cerner Millennium Hub
  • Coordination between both vendor and internal teams
  • Provide SME expertise for Cerner Millennium Technical Environments Planning and implementing improvements/upgrades/fixes for Cerner Millennium
  • Support Architect on drafting responses to Client RFP’s Identify process improvements within the Cerner Millennium Technical Space
  • Responding to various support requests for items related to Cerner Millennium
  • Support the yearly Risk Assessment Coordinate within NTT Data Team’s for support related to Hub


Basic Required Skills:

  • 3-5 years knowledge and experience of the Cerner application suite from an end user perspective 
  • 3-5 years experience working with the technical infrastructure and architecture required by the Cerner products
  • 3-5 years working with Citrix, Windows, AIX, and Linux operating systems 
  • 3-5 years experience working with Cerner Millennium applications technical environments 


Preferred Skills:

  • BA or BS in a technical related field
  • 3-5 years proven problem solving skills including forensic skills to determine root cause analysis
  • 3-5 years experience as Cerner Millennium System Engineer  
  • Strong conflict resolution skills 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Ability to manage projects independently from inception to completion 
  • Self-starter with proven ability to operate with minimal oversight
