Supply Chain Contracts Manager - Capital Equipment

PeaceHealth is seeking a Supply Chain Contracts Manager - Capital Equipment for a 1.0 full time equivalent Exempt position. This position will be working Day shift with shift durations of 8 Hours.

The priority for this position is to initiate, review and execute purchasing contracts for the purpose of managing the expense of supplies, equipment and services. Responsible for managing the process of identifying and executing strategic system-wide opportunities.  Collaborates with key internal and external stakeholders.




  1. Develop, implement, and manage contracts for products, equipment and services for the use by PeaceHealth and affiliate member customers consistent with policies. Encouraging and reporting member contract compliance.
  2. Interact with PeaceHealth legal to insure potential contract risks are addressed.
  3. Participates in the recruitment and on-going support of PeaceHealth affiliate program.
  4. Responsible for ensuring contract compliance with applicable local, regional or national regulatory entities.
  5. Partner with colleagues at all levels to support change and performance initiatives.
  6. Promote, establish, and maintain open and effective communication with caregivers and leadership.  Develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders, as well as internal and external partners.  Work in a collaborative manner with all leadership and caregivers throughout PeaceHealth.
  7. Performs other duties as assigned.





  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, healthcare administration, nursing or other related discipline from an accredited college or university is required, equivalent experience or training may be substituted. 
  • A Masters degree in Supply Chain Management, MBA or MSN is highly desired.



  • Three (3) years of progressive growth in healthcare supply chain analytics, contract administration, procurement or other industry supply chain management /contracting.
  • High proficiency with the use of Word, Excel and SharePoint is required; MS FrontPage, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint are preferred.
  • Experience with Lawson Materials Management information system preferred.
  • Experience with the use of Change Management tools is preferred.
  • Experience working with diverse customer groups.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience with implementing cost savings plans required. 
  • Experience working with capital equipment service agreements required. 



  • Knowledge of market conditions which impact contract performance and value.
  • Ability to speak with diplomacy in working with customers and ensure service excellence.
  • Ability to differentiate clinical and non-clinical issues.
  • Ability to negotiate multiple solutions.
  • Strong quantitative analytical skills are required.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills are required.
