Bell is currently seeking a candidate for the position of Analyst – Firewall Governance to be part of a newly formed team that will act as subject matter experts in maintaining Bell’s security posture.  The team lead will be act as a liaison with numerous business units across Bell and assist them in their efforts to manage firewalls in a consistent and secure fashion.


Job Duties/Accountabilities:

  • Support the objectives of the Firewall Governance program and ensure that risks are managed within business unit tolerance
  • Work with business units to understand their requirements of rules and provide guidance regarding risks and alternative options to mitigate them
  • Act as a technical subject matter expert pertaining to firewall rules and configuration
  • Maintain and report program metrics on a regular basis that demonstrates progress and the program’s overall health


Essential Skills/Competencies:

  • 5+ years’ experience deploying and/or managing firewall technologies
  • Detailed technical knowledge of firewall technologies and rule base configuration
  • Experience with firewall management platforms (e.g. Algosec, Firemon, etc.)
  • Ability to work with team members at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to influence decision-making to support program and corporate objectives
  • Strong analysis and negotiation skills
  • Strong attention to details
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver on tight timelines
  • Strong customer service skills


Preferred Skills/Competencies:

  • Experience implementing and/or operating servers and/or networks
  • Written and spoken French
  • Firewall Certifications from any major vendor (e.g. Cisco, Checkpoint, etc.)
  • Knowledge of ISO 2700x and ITIL
  • Experience in the fields of auditing and risk management
  • Experience in formal presentation of reports to senior business leadership


The candidate must successfully go through extensive background verifications including but not limited to criminal record and reputational checks.
