Assistant Product Manager, Quality & Efficiency

The Tissue Group, a division of Cascades, is the second-largest tissue producer in Canada and the fifth-largest in North America. The Division manufactures, converts and markets a huge selection of paper products, such as hand towels, bathroom tissue, facial tissue, napkins, paper towels, wipers and dispensers for the North American away-from-home and consumer products markets. The Group has more than 2,200 employees and operates seven manufacturing plants, nine conversion plants and four plants with both manufacturing and conversion facilities.

Job Responsibilities

Business Objectives Alignment

Support the implementation of business strategies and world-class practices in group units

Participate in the development of the strategic plan as his group’s standardized operational efficiency specialist

Operational Excellence

Analyze and recommend operational efficiency objectives for his group

Coordinate and support implementation and follow-up of standardized operational practices, manufacturing procedures and work instructions related to his group’s objectives

Develop performance indicators, support their implementation and follow up

Participate in evaluating and recommending solutions to improve the operational efficiency of the units of his group

Maximize synergy and foster collaboration among Cascades’ groups, units and business units

Participate in carrying out the units’ action plan by supporting operational efficiency

Support the continuous improvement process and problem-solving in the units of his group

Share best practices within his group

Human Resources

Develop and provide training

Take the initiative to develop his or her skills

Health & Safety

Comply with safe work standards in effect

Create a safe and healthy work environment for all department employees

Promote sound occupational health and safety management

Corporate Responsibility and Governance
