From family style dining to character education, our developmentally appropriate curriculum gives the child a full day of learning no matter what he or she is doing. Some of the best learning happens without the child knowing it. We are currently looking for a Lead Toddler Teacher with flexible hours for our Toddler classrooms (13-36 months of age) *Daily Responsibilities: * Our Lead and Assistant Teachers work together: * Understanding the Life Essentials curriculum thoroughly and developing and implementing supplemental lesson plans (as required) based on the monthly and seasonal themes and the interests of the children in the classroom * Meeting the individual needs of the children including feeding and diapering * Participating in staff and training meetings * Designing an appropriate room arrangement to support the goals and developmental level of the children in the classroom * Interacting with the children to support play, exploration, and learning and working through exciting projects * Presenting expectations that are appropriate to the child’s age and developmental level * Planning and implementing activities that develop self-esteem, confidence and social skills * Communicating appropriately and professionally with children, parents and fellow staff using Academy tools and resources * Meeting Kiddie Academy's Quality Assurance and NJ state licensing requirements Lead Teachers are responsible for ensuring compliance with Kiddie Academy's industry-leading Quality Assurance standards. Most importantly, they create a positive learning environment in their classroom where children develop a lifelong love of learning! *Lead Teacher Qualifications: * * Bachelor’s in Education, Psychology, Health Care, Nursing, or any other field related to Growth and Development or Teaching certification from DOE in Elementary Ed and six credits and 2 years of experience - preferred * Strong written and communication skills, ability to communicate with parents and building life-long relationships * Experience working in a educational day care facility - at least 2 years preferred * A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education and Development. * A Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field, including 18 semester hours of completed coursework related to young children birth to age 8. * An Associate’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Child Development or a related field. * An Associate’s degree or higher in a related field, including 18 semester hours of completed coursework related to young children birth to age 8. * A current CDA or Early Childhood Teaching Credential. *Job Type: Full-time* Kiddie Academy offers competitive compensation and based on experience, education and certifications and is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
