What We’re Looking For
As a team member of Tide’s Threat Detection and Response team, you will evaluate our products and services to identify security vulnerabilities, weaknesses, and improvements that result in a more resilient and hardened platform. You will adopt an attacker mindset using tools, techniques, and processes that emulate those used by sophisticated and motivated adversaries. You will work with amazingly creative, innovative, and collaborative security researchers to continuously develop new and constantly evolving ethical hacker skills and expansive networking product knowledge. You will partner with Tide’s industry engineering teams to review the latest complex and industry-leading system and application architectures and contribute to creative security solutions.
As a Offensive Security Engineer You’ll Be
- Red Teaming to test our security posture, find vulnerabilities, and exercise our detection and response.
- Building tooling to automate and drive assessments
- Detecting, analyzing, and responding to external threats and adversaries
- Searching for gaps in infrastructure, including proactively identifying gaps in detection and signal logic
- Experience using common penetration testing tools, BurpSuite, Metasploit, etc.
- Ability to think critically and identify areas of technical and non-technical risk.
- Researching and prototyping new classes of attack vectors and vulnerabilities, including side channels, fault injection, etc.
- Relevant security certifications are a plus, but not required (OSCP)
What Makes You a Great Fit
- You have automated and manual pen-testing experience
- You have experience working within the Fintech or tech sector
- You have worked within a fast-scaling business
