Potential Relocation

In this position you will report to the Senior Mid-Term Planning Engineer and will work in a team of high performing technical professionals to lead, develop, review and audit mine designs and stage plans that support safe, predictable, production. Other tasks include:

Engage relevant stakeholders and seek their buy-in to support delivery of the annual budget and mid-term plan

Prepare schedules in support of the annual forecasts, the budget, or specific projects or initiatives

Develop and communicate mine production reporting and analysis

Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders

Display strong visible safety leadership

Drive a culture of continuous improvement across site.

To be successful you will hold a Bachelor’s Degree in mining engineering (or equivalent with relevant experience), as well as:

4+ years of experience in open cast mine design (or similar) and mine scheduling

Fluency with modern mine design and mine scheduling package

Ability to build networks and relationships with key stakeholders across site

Proven capability to operate in a complex environment, leading, influencing and facilitating diverse teams

A high performer who enjoys driving work that delivers noteworthy impacts to the operation

Competency in Deswik or Vulcan design software

Competency in Spry or XPAC scheduling software

Prior experience with budget preparation

Interest in continued development as a technical professional
