A skilled Systems Engineer is needed to join our high performing team in Bank Technology. Your role is to build and improve capabilities for the Bank in support of key strategic initiatives. You will be an active contributor to maintaining and delivering feature improvements to API platform automation and be familiar with DevOps/Continuous Integration and deployment processes.
The role will also include systems analysis, design, development, maintenance & ongoing support to ensure that the quality of the solutions and artefacts you produce meet the defined needs relative to Suncorp’s environments. Your passion for maintaining our platforms will be rewarded, as will your contribution of fresh ideas to continuously improve our way of working.
What you’ll do
Maintain platform automation and deliver feature improvementsEmbed a DevOps mindset and practices within the teamIdentify technical improvements that will benefit the businessProvide input to or develop business systems solutions, estimates and specificationsWork closely with product management, architects, system engineers and test engineersUtilise agile principles and practices in everything that you do What you’ll bring
3+ years’ experience in a comparable Systems Engineer roleExperience with Continuous Integration and Delivery tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo, Gitlab, or CircleCIGood understanding of Public Cloud services (AWS/Azure)Experience with configuration management toolsets such as Ansible, Chef or PuppetVersion control software experience such as Bit Bucket / StashExperience with Java, Source control systems, Splunk and collaboration toolsDemonstrated experience with modern API technologies for example SpringBoot RESTful APIs What we can offer you
