What will you do?

We areseeking a lead Water & Wastewater planning engineer to join our Water Practice in Southeast Queensland. In this highly sought-after position, you will be a key member of the embedded leadership team for a multi-year integrated engineering partnership with one of Southeast Queensland’s leading water utilities.
Through a deep understanding of their challenges, we work with our clients to co-create innovate solutions that help to shape tomorrow's world. It’s the technical expertise and the depth of knowledge of our people that really sets us apart.
Here are the key things you will do to ‘bring ideas to life’.
Deliver integrated catchment servicing plans for combined water/wastewater catchments in urban areas through:
Problem definition and framing the key drivers to be resolved
Understanding organisational goals and how they relate to the defined problem as well as quantify the impact to the business
Collate information from multiple sources and draw key insights
Identify gaps, plan how to fill them and implement delivery
Options identification (pre concept level)
Consider and assess whole-of-lifecycle costs, associated risks and benefits in proposed system plans
Maintain and further develop relationships with a wide range of critical project stakeholders, with a strong focus on collaborative working and integrated teams.
Complex problem solving as a team and supporting junior members in the development of their networks and system planning skills.

To be successful in this position you will have:
Demonstrated experience in water and/or wastewater systems planning
Able to collaborative and communicate effectively to different audiences
Willing to do it all, learn and put your hand up for help
Demonstrated initiative and diligence in working to solve challenges and promote new ideas
A passion for achieving excellence in the water industry and as a team player
Excellent oral and written communication skills

You will share our genuine passion for re-imagining engineering and be someone that actively pursues continuous learning to help shape the future. You will also need a relevant technical qualification and chartered status would be preferable.
