The Operations team partners closely with ResMed’s five business leaders to understand their needs then providing a variety of products and services to help them meet those needs including Customer and Technical Services, Global Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain, manufacturing, logistics and distribution. Focused on enabling new product introduction and operating excellence, our team strives to improve time to market for new products and services, improve efficiencies in our cross-functional processes, and improve our supply chain through digitization and automation to increase value add to our customers.

The primary role of Production & Assembly function is to manufacture, assemble and pack products. Key deliverables include, managing the day-to-day production & planning functions for manufacturing whilst supporting changing demands. Programming, set-up, and monitoring of the production equipment/processes and performing assembly operations. Performing Quality control checks of Incoming and finished goods. Ensuring compliance to ResMed’s Quality, OH&S, GMP policies and regulatory requirements.
Let’s talk about the role

  • Lead a team of Production Team Leaders over multiple shifts through providing effective operational management and talent development.
  • Partner with appropriate departments (e.g., Planning, Quality, Engineering, Warehouse, etc.) to ensure Team Leaders have the available resources to achieve required production targets in line with demand, quality, and specification parameters.
  • Promote and encourage a culture of continuous improvement and innovation throughout the team by partnering with relevant support teams (e.g., People, Finance, Engineering) to achieve globally competitive manufacturing principles and practices.
  • Provide people management guidance to Team Leaders and a point of escalation for any performance management issues within their teams.
  • Engage and inspire the teams to achieve cost saving proposals within their team and via the PFT groups.
  • Work with Production Team Leaders to appropriately performance manage product assembly for all assigned shifts including: Effective maintenance and monitoring of production KPIs: safety, quality, operational equipment effectivenessWorkforce and operational scheduling (e.g., training and management communication sessions)Stock control and move transactions within Oracle Completion of NCDs. Compliance to ResMed’s Quality, OH&S and GMP policies, DHR requirements, procedures, and work instructionsRework and screening activities.
  • Guide and facilitate the Production Team Leaders to oversee the management of personnel issues for all shifts including:
  • Proficient management of Kronos time and attendance system.
  • Induction and assessment of new applicants.
  • Staff training, mentoring, maintenance of the workplace training systems.
  • Staff assessment and performance management.
  • Leave and injury management, and coordination of suitable duties with the Health and Safety Team
  • Perform other duties assigned as required.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to empower and motivate team members.
  • Experience in managing a multilevel team in the manufacturing industry.
  • Solid understanding of the OH&S, quality and GMP process and its applications within people management.
  • Good working knowledge of the products for each line or proven technical leadership.
  • Strong computer skills, specifically MS Excel and MS Word, Oracle and Objective.
  • Evidenced application of LEAN, 5S and 6 sigma methodologies.
  • Significant experience of quality, OH&S and GMP processes.
  • Proven experience within an innovative, fast-paced, and high-volume manufacturing team (3+ years).
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline such as Engineering or Business Management
