The Business Development Manager will be responsible for selling complex and broad solutions and services to new and existing clients. The executive will source new business opportunities/engagements by using an existing network of professional contacts and by initiating and developing relationships with executive client professionals, professional advisors, and partner channels that lead to signed contracts for Huron to deliver professional services. The executive will be able to identify and assist in closing consulting services.

The individual will sell consulting and advisory services to the C-Level with regards to leveraging technology to enable financial transformation, digital solutions, and customer experience. Success may be found selling through the Oracle, Workday, and Salesforce sales organization or directly to the end user. If focused on the end user, the successful Business Development Manager will be tapped into a broad and deep CxO community in their region.

Other responsibilities include:

Prospecting and developing new clients to expand Huron presence in the target industry space including maintaining an extensive pipeline of qualified new client opportunities.

Achieving annual sales goals and market penetration targets.

Utilizing knowledge of Enterprise Solutions and Markets to educate Huron Managing Directors and sellers.

Partnering with internal Huron Managing Directors to introduce Hurons solutions to clients.

Co-developing client strategies with Sales and Marketing leadership and other practices.

Defining growth opportunities through industry, client, and competitor analysis.

Assuring high levels of client service and satisfaction

Qualifications

The Federal Business Development Manager will be responsible for selling complex and broad solutions and services to new and existing federal clients. The focus will be on selling professional services centered on advising on and deploying Oracle cloud solutions, specifically Oracles Enterprise Resource Planning, Enterprise Performance Management and Human Capital Management portfolio of solutions. The Business Development Manager will source new Federal Huron Digit business opportunities/engagements by using an existing network of professional contacts and by initiating and developing relationships with executive client and agency professionals, professional advisors, and partner channels that lead to signed contracts for Huron Digital to deliver professional services. The Business Development Manager will be able to identify and lead the entire sales and opportunity management process in closing consulting services.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Developing net new opportunities and driving through the sales process funnel to close.

  • Accurately maintain pipeline and opportunities in the internal Huron Salesforce system.

  • Meet or exceed annual sales quota for net new projects.

  • Partnering with internal Huron leadership and subject matter experts to introduce Hurons solutions to clients.

  • Co-developing client strategies with Huron Digitals Federal and Markets leadership and other Huron practices.

  • Defining growth opportunities through industry, client, and competitor analysis.

  • Maintain knowledge of the latest trends in Oracle solutions within the Federal industry.

  • Assuring high levels of client service and satisfaction.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Depth and background in the Federal and Public Sector industry. Able to communicate an understanding of the Federal space and the influences that impact the Federal procurement and award process.

  • Knowledge of enterprise solutions and leading solution providers (vendors) and ability to translate solutions to meet the needs within in the Federal and Public Sector industry including competitive intelligence.

  • Knowledge of Oracles Enterprise Resource Planning , Enterprise Performance Management and Human Capital Management portfolio of solutions.

  • Extensive knowledge of professional services selling and the ability to build and sustain long term relationships with clients to drive Huron Digital revenue.

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience demonstrating success in an individual contributor sales role for a professional services organization. Expectations are to generate revenues in the $4-7 million range annually.

  • Extensive experience in the development and execution of the sales process to close the business deal through executive contacts and key stakeholders. Extensive experience identifying client needs, issues and priorities and demonstrated ability to provide solutions based upon Huron Digitals services.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage and execute through the proposal and sales process including identifying the business need, align with Huron Digital solutions, identifying win strategy and themes, interact with agency sourcing personnel, and understanding of contracting vehicles.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and manage long term agency relationships through numerous sales cycles and shape agency needs with Huron Digital capabilities.

  • Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to respectfully collaborate in a team-based in person and remote environment and work independently.

  • Undergraduate Degree (e.g. BA, BS). MBA preferred.
