Cloud Consultant - Kubernetes/Microservices Engineering

This is a remote position and can be worked anywhere in the U.S. with a preference near our office locations of Providence, Denver, or NYC.

Do you enjoy working in public cloud engagements, attending architectural design sessions and implementing solutions for clients? We are looking for a Cloud Consultant with experience engineering & deploying systems in AWS, Azure and/or GCP, including greenfield applications, migration and/or modernization of existing applications..

What we'll expect from you:
  • In this role, you will support clients in their efforts to modernize applications to becoming cloud native using proven enterprise design patterns and public cloud services
  • Collaborate to understand the clients ecosystem and cloud needs
  • Implementing cloud architectures, assuming accountability for on-time, on-budget, on-quality delivery
  • Helping to build & introduce clients to automation across the entire stack, infrastructure, platform and application
  • Defining and implementing cloud-based solutions in line with industry best practices and enterprise architecture guidelines
  • Supporting customers in troubleshooting issues in their test and/or production environments and identifying root cause and solutions
  • Presenting case studies and cloud solutions at meetups, conferences and technology events

You bring these qualifications:
  • Advanced working knowledge in Java 8+ and object-oriented and functional design principles
  • Experience in consulting large enterprises on design, development, and deployment of large-scale services
  • Experience and thorough understanding of microservices architecture
  • Experience and understanding of public cloud environments, cloud-native applications and familiarity with designing, implementing & deploying applications at scale
  • Extensive experience working with Git including code branching and complex versioning including semver 2.0
  • Experience and deep understanding with web services, specifically REST APIs, SpringBoot, Swagger, GraphQL and NodeJS.
  • Experience with DevOps and CI/CD tooling. Willing to get hands on in devops tooling if needed
  • Experience with containers including Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience leading technical development teams of 3-5 consultants in agile development
  • Strong communication, writing, client interactions and relationship skills. You will be speaking with clients regularly.
