Manufacturing Project Engineer (Level 2)

Manufacturing Project Engineer (Level 2)

This exciting position is with our historic Skunk Works program. Skunk Works is an integral part of Lockheed's Aeronautics business area responsible for advanced systems development including conceptual design and rapid prototyping of clean sheet solutions and improvements and derivatives to existing systems. The ideal skunk is an agile, multi-faceted teammate who loves to solve our customer's most difficult challenges. Some of our unclassified projects include the U-2, SR-71 Blackbird, F-22 Raptor, F-117 Nighthawk, and the F-35 Lightening II. Learn more about some of the incredible things we do here:


This position is with our Skunk Works Production Operations Department located in Palmdale Ca.

Job scope supports manufacturing requirements within our ADP Special Projects Prod Ops Build Team efforts.

Examples of tasks are to produce and submit manufacturing proposals/quotes, generate estimates, conduct manufacturing trades, develop manufacturing plans, track performance and execution.

In addition, personal relationships will be required to coordinate with all pertinent organizations and functions to execute ADP Build and Instrumentation efforts. Selected candidate will be responsible for preparing and delivering briefings to all levels of management regarding manufacturing efforts and proposals.

Must be a US Citizen, this position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Secret Clearance required to start.

Basic Qualifications:

Program/Project Manufacturing experience

Aerospace manufacturing experience such as (metallic, non-metallic, electrical, assembly, flight ops)

Desired Skills:

Robust MS Office skill set

TeamCenter, CATIA, or similar Experience

EVMS Execution Knowledge

Problem Solving Skills

Self Starter

Manufacturing Proposal Writing

Manufacturing Plan development Experience
