General Responsibilities :
Operations and Maintenance Tier I-III Support for IT Infrastructure across multiple networks and security domains
Security/Information Assurance response to potential Vulnerabilities related to IAVAs and OPDIRs
Brief leadership on the health of systems, individual and/or enterprise
Update/Create documentation as needed (user guides, admin guides, knowledge base articles, FAQs, quick reference guides)
Set-up, configuration, and support of internal and external networks
Identifying and analyzing systems requirements
Developing and maintaining system applications, security, and maintaining network configurations
Create and implement router and switch configurations
Troubleshooting network performance issues
Providing user support and guidance
Setting up IP schemas for multi-tenant environments
Configuring physical and virtual switching, routing, and firewall protocols, ports, and services
Developing and maintaining disaster recovery plans
Manage network communications testing, installation, and support, including LAN/MAN/WAN system
Create and implement router and switch configurations
Provide recommendations to enhance and improve network performance
Interface with vendors to address problem escalation during outages or periods of degraded system performance
Provide quality assurance review and evaluation of new and existing networking products
Plans and coordinates major computer network initiatives
Researches, evaluates, and recommends new computer network equipment and technologies
Utilizes monitoring, performance analysis, network management, software and hardware equipment to troubleshoot and isolate problems, gauge network performance, and trace data and protocol activity
Devises solutions to complex operational problems within the capacity and operational limitations of installed equipment
Develops and executes contingency plans for network software and hardware failures including isolated and major outages

Mandatory Skills Requirements:
Meet DoD 8570 requirements, must have and maintain, at a minimum, active Security + CE and associate level or higher Network certification
Must patch and implement security controls in response to IAVAs and OPDIRs on respective network systems
Must have Cloud experience AWS Preferred
Strong TCP/IP foundation
BGP, QoS, and Multicast
SNMPv3 and network monitoring software
Working knowledge of network standards/protocols/security, hardware, and application virtualization
Working knowledge of local area and wide area networking principles and concepts including bandwidth management
Juniper Operating System (JUNOS) and/or CISCO IOS
Working knowledge of the Windows and/or Linux Operating systems to include Server and Workstation environments
Respond to, incidents, change requests, and service requests making sure to follow up with the customer to ensure completion
Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills
Ability to work well independently and in a collaborative team environment
Hands-on experience with network equipment including hubs, routers, switches, bridges, firewalls, servers, transmission media, and related hardware
Hands-on experience with network systems design, development, testing, installation, operations, management, and maintenance concepts and methods
Other Skills Preferred:
Knowledge of standard DoD and Marine Corps concepts, practices, and procedures. Familiarity with Navy/Marine Corps interoperability requirements is preferred
Support to tactical SATCOM programs
Familiarity with Load Balancers (hardware and software)
Network Security Appliances to include Type1 encryption devices
Video Teleconference (VTC), Desktop VTC, and Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP) integration and management
WAN technologies, protocols, and optimizers
Active Directory, Group Policy, Windows Server, Linux OS, Networks, MS Exchange, MS Lync, MS SQL Server, SCCM, SCOM, Service Manager, Networked Printers/Services, Distributed File Services, Data Protection Manager, MS SharePoint, PowerShell, JavaScript
Working knowledge of DoD STIGs related to the applicable technologies and how to implement, mitigate, and write POAM statements
