Overview
The Graphic Design Intern will design and deliver dynamic creative, translation and production of 2D and Digital Assets.
Essential Functions
- Concepts, creates and delivers strong design solutions across a variety of creative materials including, but not limited to, on-property signage, brochures, wayfinding, window graphics, digital assets and other mediums.
- Designs thoughtful creative that delivers on specific goals and objectives, tells an impactful story and connects people to place
- Communicates effectively with cross-functional internal and field 'customers' to work through project requirements, review cycles and project completion.
- Translates approved creative concepts and layouts into various sizes and formats while maintaining the original creative intent
- Ensures all graphics support a strong, focused, brand vision.
- Contributes to group ideation brainstorms and new idea sharing.
- Works on various timelines in a fast-paced environment and balance competing prioritizes and deadlines while always delivering quality and consistent creative
- Releases art files to print production vendor and manages proof process
- Performs other duties including corporate creative, as directed
Skills and Abilities
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite: Creative Cloud InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop mandatory.
- Experience with digital platform (Social, Website, Email) graphic design preferred
- Image manipulation/retouch and color correction skills preferred.
- Self-starter who demonstrates strong initiative.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Creative, collaborative team player able to contribute ideas in group settings.
- Strong organizational skills with a high attention to detail.
Qualifications, Education and Experience
- Current undergraduate student with preferred major in Graphic Design or a related field.
- Passionate and knowledgeable of the marketing and/or retail, commercial real estate industries.
- Keep up with current graphic design trends and tools
- Online portfolio /Digital Portfolio that demonstrates a strong sense of branding, presentation
