At the same time, you need a team that cares for you. As a Social Support Group Assistant you will assist in the development and implementation if recreational activities that promote enjoyment and encourage the active service model for members of your local community.

Caring for the elderly and keeping them connected to their community through activities they love - like walking, gardening or other group activities, is vital in this role! Perhaps you have contributed to group activities in your community already - so you can transfer those skills to this opportunity. Previous expereince contributing to lifestyle / community engagement group activities in aged and community care highly desireable.

What we look for
a genuine passion for caring for the elderly
the ability to work independently and as part of a team
certification in Lifestyle and Leisure or related studies
students studying a certificate in Individual Support or related who can work part-time hours
a valid license and reliable vehicle (that is insured)
an ability to communicate with clients in English (other languages can be helpful too)
respect for all, regardless of background, gender, age, religion, race, or sexual orientation
We will ask you to supply a recent police check or NDIS screen, proof of vaccinations, and evidence of qualifications. Don’t worry, we’ll only ask you for these when we need them.
