Manager - IFRSPurpose of JobTo assist the National IFRS team in their responsibilities, which include providing IFRS advice,Annual Financial Statement reviews, consultations, and training. You will be based in theGauteng office, while also providing support to the Cape Town and other South African offices.Some travel between Johannesburg and Cape Town will be required. A financial servicebackground and experience is beneficial.Key Performance AreasProvide IFRS consultation and supportDevelop IFRS training material and facilitate trainingDevelop tools and guidesResearch new developments and updates within the IFRS technical field and feedback to group for considerationReview Financial Statements for IFRS compliance, identifying IFRS problem areas,recommending solutions and clearing of reviews performedDrafting of technical articles to be published internally or externallyAct as co-facilitator on training events, predominantly internallyKey CompetenciesCA (SA) qualificationPrevious exposure and minimum 2 years IFRS experience post articlesFinancial services experience is beneficialGood understanding of IFRS for SMEsGood understanding of the Companies Act disclosure requirementsGood level of knowledge of JSE Listing RequirementsGood level of knowledge of Corporate Governance requirements (King IV)Good level of knowledge of integrated reporting requirements.Confident and decisive, including strong communication skillsPro-activeAdheres to principles and valuesAbility to work in teams, including coaching junior team members, as well as workingin isolationAble to gather information and research problemsPresentation and facilitation skills including ability to answer questionsApplies professional / specialist / technical expertiseGood writing and reporting skillsAble to cope with pressures and setbacksSalary: R R pa
