Human Resources Practitioner/Manager

Port ElizabethReports to the CEO and part of the leadership team.Full-time position, based on-site in Newton Park.5-day week.The role of Human Resources is to effectively manage payroll and recruitment and be the first point of contact for HR-related queries from employees and external partners. Develop, implement, and maintain HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIESPayrollEnsure that all deductions are captured accurately for each employee.Run Pivot Tables per Supervisor and ensure that Production Manager receives them timeously (day 9 and day 2 of the payroll cycle)Ensure that all payslips are printed and sent out to employees a day before payday.Update and maintain employee information ensuring the accuracy of banking details before any payments are released.Upload wage payments and ensure that MD receives on time to release payments.Keep a record of all queries and pay disputes.Resolve all wage-related queries before the next pay cycle.Uploading employees on the payroll systemProcessing payments (Weekly, Fortnightly, and monthly)Providing clerical and administrative supportSARS monthly paymentsThird Parties paymentsCompleting the UI19 formsReceiving, recording, and filing all payroll related documentation.Human ResourcesGeneral filing, personal files, contracts, overtime filesUpdating the monitoring tools of contracts, including ad hoc contractsProviding clerical and administrative supportCompiling interview documents and calculating interview scoresMaintaining the file of CV's and Interview scoresAssisting with other HR Projects as and when requestedDrafting contracts, letters, and HR policiesPopulating information for BBBEEPopulating EE informationCalculating and Checking Overtime and Leave AdministrationAttending CCMA hearingsLoading employees on the ERS system.Recruitment:Conducting InterviewsSupport Manager with all their recruitment requirementsCoordinate recruitment processPrepare HR documents like employee contracts and keep a record of these documents.Staff ManagementManage staff and day to day operations of the officeMeasure productivity and manage the performance of administrative staffEnsure that each staff member has measurable KPI’sold weekly meetings with team and or individuals to communicate productivity levels, highlight areas of excellence and areas of improvementTake appropriate action to recognise high performersTake appropriate action to manage poor performance effectivelyHelp promote a company culture that encourages top performance and high moraleAdministrationKeeping a record of daily registers for office staff and onsite staffKeep a record of all Statutory compliance records (UIF; IOD; SARS etc.)Organise and maintain records of all employees (hard copy and soft copy)Keep a record of all employee information regarding leave (annual leave, sick leave, study leave etc.)Organise and prepare information for disciplinary processesMaintain professional excellence when interacting with clients, staff, and all other stakeholdersQUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS2+ years practical experience in this fieldMatric (Diploma in Human Resources Management will be advantageous)Human Resources qualification with strong knowledge of payroll systemsGood command of English.
