The Advanced Manufacturing Training Centre (AMTC) is focused on developing, maintaining and building upon the vital skills required by manufacturing graduates, technicians, engineers and managers to deliver the technologies that keep the Great British manufacturing industry globally competitive. Working in partnership with Consilium Recruit the MTC are seeking an Apprentice Assessor to provide training and assessment of Engineering Apprentices in the workplace nationwide.

The Role
The Apprentice Assessor will be required to support the progression of the development competence qualification and provide guidance for EPA. Managing a case load of apprentices in their places of work.
The role will work closely with the trainer team to ensure all apprentices are completing their apprenticeships timely, in one of the core areas, Intelligent Automation. Culminating in the successful completion of Intelligent Automation and Machining engineering technician Level 3 Apprenticeship programme.
Duties and responsibilities for the Apprentice Assessor role will include:
To assess high-quality and engaging training for a caseload of Apprentices through the standard (L3 Product Design and Development)
To provide training and assessment of engineering candidates in the workplace and training environment
To provide support for the quality assurance of engineering programmes
To maintain a safe working environment at all times
To liaise with employers, including visiting the workplace as directed
To assist in the maintenance of learner recording systems including tracking documents
To adhere to the AMTC timetable schedule of assessment and reviews ensuring that any necessary adjustments are authorised by the Programme Manager
To assist with the AMTC marketing and publicity as and where required and attend marketing and promotion events
The Person
The successful candidate for the Apprentice Assessor will have/be:
Current Technical competence within Advanced Machining, Intelligent Automation or Metrology environment.
Understanding of the various assessment criteria and procedures
Detailed knowledge of Apprenticeship programs for Engineering subjects
Health & Safety in Engineering
Industry related qualifications such as HND, or NVQ`s Level 3 - essential
Functional Skills Level 2 / GCSE`s in Maths and English grade C or above - essential
CAVA or equivalent assessor qualifications - Essential
Self-starter, able to work on own initiative
Determination to succeed and passion about the subject area
Highly articulate, highly presentable excellent written and oral communication skills Confidence to give presentations to a wide variety of audiences
