We're looking for a talented, hard-working individual to flesh out our growing Banquet Department. Meal Plan at Graduate Seattle boasts the best banquet spaces in the University District set in a historic art deco building minutes from campus and across the street from the newest light rail stop. Wages and benefits are based on experience and work hours are flexible.
Primary duties will include general administrative tasks, efficiencies, back of house stock and equipment management, beverage programs, staffing and scheduling, housekeeping, maintenance and repair oversight and technological advancements.
General administrative tasks may include but are not limited to efficiencies, inventory, pars & ordering, pricing, profit & loss calculations, regular meetings with events staff and ownership.
Shift management duties include but are not limited to oversight/leadership of all banquet staff, close monitoring of guest experience, speed & consistency of service & hospitality standards, monitoring the quality of regular offerings & banquet menus, troubleshooting equipment, closely monitoring volume, lighting, VIBE, guest and staff safety, reporting injuries and neighborhood diplomacy.
Event management includes staffing, special menus and general management of various events in conjunction with Meal Plan LLC events staff and private event contractors.
Beverage program responsibilities will include but are not limited to wine and beer lists, pricing and cost controls, glassware & various vessels.
Staff training duties will include but are not limited to analyses of bar and wait staffs’ hospitality & service levels, cocktail expertise and spirit/wine/beer knowledge along with standard technique and best practices in accordance with a top-tier banquet operation.
Maintenance and repair duties will include coordinating with engineering team to insure timely completion of all work.
Housekeeping duties will include working with in-house and contracted staff to maintain the cleanliness of all banquet front of house and back of house spaces including store rooms.
