A Maintenance Engineering position is available for a Mechanically oriented Site Engineer to join a global business as a permanent employee of the Site Engineering team. A customer-focused provider of engineering solutions to customers' high-end currency printing/counting equipment, operating from secure sites across the UK and around the world.

A well suited position to individuals with experience maintaining manufacturing equipment, with formal training provided on the businesses machines across induction and opening months of employment.

Responsibility is to maintain equipment through a proactive maintenance schedule and reactive repairs, and interact with the client, providing technical maintenance coverage for the companies various customers to ensure the maximum quality of service, organisation, and output of equipment under the responsibility of their engineers.

This role demands a professional attitude given there is a good degree of customer-facing interaction on-site. Efficient problem resolution and productivity must be maintained at all times in line with the agreed SLA’s defined between client and customer.

Principal Responsibilities:

Ensure equipment performance matches/exceeds contractual SLA’s agreed with the customer.
Customer satisfaction kept to the highest level possible through scheduled PPM’s and reactive maintenance activity, with swift first-time fixes conducted on breakdowns through methodical troubleshooting, corrective action plan and maintenance.
Inventory control maintained and kept up to date i.e. part usage/requests/replenishment.
Build and maintain a professional relationship daily with the customer.
Recommendations delivered to service senior management to improve company services, equipment reliability and system performance.
Clear communication and documentation provided within the handover process.
Encourage and support team behaviour, sharing methods of best practice and collaboration with colleagues.
Submission of relevant documentation delivered in a timely manner e.g. Customer Maintenance Reports, Part Orders, Expenses/Travel/etc.

Desirable Equipment Knowledge:

Electromechanical systems
FMCG Equipment maintenance
Special Purpose Machinery
Desirable Qualifications:

City & Guilds - Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (with mechanical competence)

City & Guilds - 17th / 18th Edition Wiring Regs.

HNC - Engineering related qualification
