Primary Location : Glasgow

Description-

As a Java Developer, you'll work within Wealth & Investment Management where you will contribute to the development of class leading customer and colleague facing web application to support Client Servicing based on a service oriented architecture. You'll be key in providing support for the app and others across the Wealth Colleague Channels products, as well as working on the migration to the strategic Salesforce colleague desktop & integration with our Wealth Hub Investments UI APIs.

What you'll be doing? -

Participating in planning, analysis and design sessions for new features to be developed
Working closely with business analysts to take a business requirement through to technical design and coding
Producing unit-testing to ensure future changes can be made with confidence that we are not breaking existing behaviour
Providing support to the test team so that they can test the features developed
Occasionally providing 3rd line support in investigating production issues and providing resolution
Working as a collaborative team member and supporting the team to achieve the goals
Leading a development team as a hands-on developer and mentor to more junior developers

What we're looking for:

Experience using Core Java and JavaScript
IT development with Java programming language
Scripting experience - Unix/ Linux
Experience in Web Service (SOAP & REST API)

Skills that will help you in the role:

Angular JS experience
Analytical/ problem solving mind-set
AWS - We are moving all of our applications to AWS
Scala - Sub-component applications are built using Scala
