Logistics and Export Controller

This an opportunity for an experienced Logistics and Export Coordinator to join an established and growing Berkshire-based engineering company.  Working alongside the Production, Sales and Projects teams, you will be responsible for the co-ordination of the shipping and export of sales orders throughout Europe and the rest of the world.
This will involve arranging and recording shipment details; producing, processing and filing documentation; gathering and maintaining import/export data (eg. tariff codes&COO); applying Certificates of Origin and ATRs through the Chamber of Commerce; and experience of Inward Processing Relief (IPR).
The successful candidate will have a background in logistics and strong knowledge of MS Office programmes, financial payment systems and stock processing systems. Experience of working with Letters of Credit, Cash against Documents and other financial instruments required by import/export operations.
You will also have strong written and verbal communication skills, good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise your workload effectively, and an excellent rapport with internal and external customers.  Previous experience in a similar role involving logistics scheduling or production planning is essential.
Salary is negotiable depending on experience, within the range £28,000 – £35,000.  Hours of work: 09:00 to 17:30, Monday to Friday.  Benefits will include 5% pension and there’s a generous profit related bonus (after qualification period).  Option for mix of office working and home working.  Onsite parking available.
