Perinatal Education Instructor

The Perinatal Education Instructor is responsible for teaching expectant parents in a classroom setting on a variety of perinatal health issues and preparing them the major milestone experience of childbirth. The Perinatal Education Instructor is someone who enjoys working with new parents while creating an safe environment that facilitates group participation while learning. Instructors will work as a team with expectant parents to foster confidence and comfort, making the transition from pregnancy to parenting as smooth as possible. The Perinatal Education Instructor will participate in continued education in the field of Perinatal Education.Position Requirements
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing and registered in the State of Georgia Certified to perform CPR by either American Heart Association or Medic First Aid, or must become certified within probationary period Certified as an American Heart Association and/or Medic First Aid BLS instructor, or must become certified within probationary period if teaching CPR Women's Services RN experience a plus. Excellent critical thinking, interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
