Title: Host Technical Services Analyst

Locations: Valparaiso, IN


Systems Administrator IIs perform system maintenance and optimization on Unisys Mainframes and provide support to host operations and other departments. They serve as an escalation point for complex issues and typically are responsible for executing projects of moderate scope and complexity.


  • Monitors the daily performance and capacity activity on Unisys Mainframes and responds quickly to non-routine alerts.
  • Researches and performs troubleshooting activities to triage of events and in a controlled manner; resolves non-routine system alerts and addresses issues on generally complex technologies.
  • Executes tasks relating to maintenance, applications, processes, and deployment of a complex nature.
  • Recommends content for and assists with preparing standard operating procedures, and knowledge share manuals.
  • May own one or more project components housed within a larger-scale project and execute the required tasks, to execute the assignment.
  • Assists in upgrades and/or enhancements for assigned technologies.
  • Assists with implementing new technologies.
  • Follows all compliance policies and ensures technology remains within compliance standards, maintaining functionality and security.
  • Must work extended hours, nights, weekends, and rotating on-call duties when needed by management and to resolve outages.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


  • Optimally performing operating systems infrastructure, and storage of Unisys Mainframes.
  • Current and applicable technical documentation.
  • Ensuring technology remains within compliance standards, maintaining functionality and security.
  • Maintain high uptime performance of Unisys Mainframes.
  • Timely and satisfactory resolution of issues.
  • Assisting with skill development on the team through knowledge share.
  • Timely delivery of successful projects
  • No budgetary responsibility, no direct reports, no defined geographic territory; no responsibilities related to sales volume.
  • Completed projects in expected time frames.
  • Accountable to meet or exceed Service Level Agreements or utilization goals or both.
  • Responsible for documenting change management activities.


Education & Certifications:

An accredited university, college, or trade school education and training in applicable technology.


Professional level position in described technology. Two (2) to four (4) years of successful, hands-on work experience in relevant technical fields.
