Retail Merchandising Internship (full-time internship)

Key responsibilities:

  • Assists with daily office functions such as reporting, analysis, business recaps, photocopying, etc.
  • Has direct communication with Directly Operated Stores (DOS) and Factory Outlets (FO) regarding product needs, special orders and stock inquiries.
  • Prepares detailed weekly and seasonal selling reports for all categories.
  • Supports the Buyer with Market appointment preparation needs for each collection.
  • Assists with entering purchase orders in SAP.
  • Assists with the creation and development of Product Knowledge for all Brands.
  • Assists with store merchandising functions such as visual display, folding, re-stocking, etc.
  • Assists with basic replenishment for Directly Operated Stores (DOS) and Factory Outlets (FO).
  • Assists in store visits to gain an understanding of best sellers and underperforming items.
  • Assist in NYC store visits to gather feedback from the sale floor to improve sales performance, by making visual merchandising adjustments, providing product knowledge training, and consolidations.

  • System Technology:

  • Utilizes standard reporting through web based merchandise systems SAP Retail | BIS Reporting.
  • Utilizes SAP | AFS for merchandise inquiry management and communication.
  • Utilizes Microsoft PowerPoint for Product Knowledge Presentations.

Required qualifications:

  • Studies in Finance, Accounting, Economics or General Business Management
  • Strong numerical skills
  • Manages difficult tasks effectively

  • Fashion Product & Trend Awareness
  • Highly proficient with MS Office, specifically Excel
