Operations Team Lead - New Accounts

SUMMARY

The Operations Team Lead performs a variety of higher level departmental duties requiring thorough knowledge of office management systems and procedures while assisting in training and cross-training of department associates.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Receives department assignment of work, coordinates and distributes/assigns the work among department associates, and completes daily sign-off of reports and tasks for specified group.
  • Assists associates with resolution of more complex problems and escalated issues in a timely manner and in accordance with departmental policy and procedures.
  • Assists with training and cross-training of associates, which includes conducting individual and team meetings and provides feedback to managers.
  • Assists areas of the department with various functions when volume is high or staffing levels are down.
  • Serves as an internal consultant to management as needed.
  • Contributes ideas and assists with projects to improve processing quality and/or efficiency and assists in resolving complex department issues.
  • Oversight and review of the processing of client-related documents which may include documents that are specialized in nature such as trust documents, corporate documents, power of attorneys, and foreign account documentation.
  • Understands the importance of department regulatory impacts on policies, procedures, and systems.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate Degree or equivalent college coursework.
  • 5+ years of experience within the financial services industry required.
  • Significant industry and/or trading knowledge with the ability to interpret and apply industry rules and regulations.
  • Exemplary teamwork and leadership skills with the ability to train and mentor others within the department.
