Manager, Visual & Content Design (Remote)

General Summary

This leader is responsible for overseeing the creative design process for Global Markets Americas. This includes aligning all services to the strategic goals and objectives of Global Markets America (GMA) and Client Solutions, infusing a client-centric mentality, talent management, and overall process compliance. Leads the identification and implementation of management processes, methods, tools, and standards to increase efficiency, decrease time to completion and improve the probability of successful project delivery. Demonstrates the ability to be a team player and builds strong partnerships and working relationships within and outside GMA.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Creative Visual Design Governance
  • Leads and directs the design and production of visual and audio materials and media used in client engagements.
  • Oversees creation of art, photo, video, and layout design. Establishes and implements design and format standards and processes to produce consistent and high quality results that meet organizational brand standards.
  • Selects any outside or contract vendors and approves and coordinates projects.
  • Schedule visual design resources to specific projects and manage cross-team support
  • Present design decisions and processes openly, clearly, and confidently, regardless of the audience.
  • Ensure the completion and delivery of high-quality design.
  • Collaborates with the broader creative and marketing teams to help communicate and expand the brand design and visual language.
  • Analyze the impact of the new business model(s) on the Service Level Agreements between this team and the LSPs and IMs, which could impact the efficiency and resourcing of this team
Content Support
  • Support Leadership Solutions Partner (LSP) team in locating proven content to support designs
  • Coordinate LSP design process with visual designers and Project Management Office (PMO) timelines
  • Helps decrease overall design time at all Levels of Customization
  • Curate "best of the best" content and interface with portfolio to incorporate updates to master content
  • Learns and recommends content across the portfolio
  • Utilizes CCL's ECM system as a resource for designs and proposals
  • Ensures that designs are being posted accurately in the system
  • Partners with LSP's to identify "ready to use " designs, assists in translating sessions into classroom assets, acts as "guide" when necessary to provide LSP's with a more efficient ECM experience.
Talent Management
  • Lead and manage all aspects of talent management for the Creative Visual Design team.
  • Set annual performance targets for individuals and the team and provides regular performance feedback.
  • Acts as an advisor, coach and mentor regarding projects, tasks, and operations.
  • Create opportunities for ongoing professional and personal development
  • Partners with the Director of Client Solutions around recruitment, hiring and onboarding of staff.
  • Encourages peer coaching and mentoring, peer reviews, and back-up and support to one another during busy times
  • Promotes problem solving and sharing of best practices within the team
Process Owner
  • Accountable for the visual design and associated procedure performance.
  • Reinforces Levels of Customization with LSPs and account teams.
  • Accountable for ensuring processes and measures are aligned to Global Markets America's strategies.
  • Creates a team culture of operational excellence and holds team and self, accountable.

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree required (preferably in business administration/management or relevant field of study). Advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience working in or managing a visual or graphic design team is a plus.
  • 3-5 years' supervisory experience required (minimum).
Other Requirements/Experience
  • Minimum travel required.

Pay and Benefits

  • The hiring range for this role is $68K to $76K and offer will be commensurate with relevant qualifications and professional experience
