We are accepting applications for a future opening in our Chicago, IL office for a  Project Manager  for our Construction Management division.

Position Description:

  • Directs activities of workers associated with implementing construction projects.
  • Evaluates specifications to plan procedures, starting and completion times, and staffing requirements for each phase of construction.
  • Assembles members of organization (supervisory, clerical, engineering, cost control, and other workers) at start of project.
  • Directs personnel and subcontractors engaged in planning and executing work procedures, interpreting specifications, and coordinating various phases of construction to prevent delays.
  • Manages supervisory and engineering personnel, inspectors, and suppliers to resolve construction problems and improve construction methods.
  • Inspects work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications and the adherence to construction schedules.
  • Prepares or reviews reports on progress, materials used and costs, and adjusts work schedules as indicated by reports.
  • Oversees construction activities so they are within federal, state, and local environmental rules and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10 years Construction/Project Management experience.  Health Care, Corporate/Commercial, Correctional, Aviation, and Educational experience a plus.
  • Must have a degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management.
  • LEED, CCM, or PMP certification a plus.
  • OSHA 10 or 30 hour certification a plus.
  • The successful candidate will also have excellent written and oral communication skills and be competent with the Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with eBuilder, Primavera, Prolog, a plus.
  • BA or BS in Architecture, Engineering, Urban Planning, Construction Management or a closely related field.
  • Ability to travel to multiple client locations and daily client/vendor interaction
  • Experience with MS Windows, Office, and Project. eBuilder or other PMIS experience a plus.
