Some Benefits experience needed.

Daily responsibilities consist of:

  • Assists Employee Benefits staff with daily activities
  • Handles administrative tasks including answering and screening telephone calls and taking messages as appropriate, opening, sorting and distributing mail, filing, and organizing documents
  • Communicates with Employee Benefits Manager daily on Employee Benefits problems and concerns. Directs other staff with this information as required by Employee Benefits Manager
  • Assists with monthly premium billing and updates records
  • Completes and mails COBRA and HIPAA memo to terminated employees
  • Prepares benefits orientation packages for newly hired employees
  • Completes medical and dental claim forms for Partners and sends to appropriate insurance carrier for processing
  • Distributes monthly pension checks/direct deposits to retired employees on the supplemental plan
  • Mails quarterly checks to retirees with Medicare part B
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date filing system
  • Keeps accurate records of the retired employee's medical payments
  • Coordinates projects as requested
  • Communicates and directs employees and Partners to appropriate personnel to discuss specific questions related to Employee Benefits programs, as needed
  • Communicates issues to insurance carriers and brokers, and follows up as required
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Profile

Qualifications:

  • Ability to master answering basic day-to-day questions about Employee Benefits plans and programs
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Capable of organizing and coordinating work flow to meet strict deadlines
  • Ability to interact with all employees at all levels professionally
  • Capable of solving problems quickly
  • Ability to deal discreetly with confidential information
  • Ability to work well under pressure and coordinate several activities at one time
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
