Sr. Engineer (Data Management, Modeling, Design)

Ingram Content Group (ICG) is hiring for a Sr. Engineer (Data Management, Modeling, Design) to join our Application Services team in LaVergne, TN (Greater Nashville Area). This individual will leverage the latest database technologies and data warehousing design principals as a basis for supporting analytics and an enterprise data warehouse. Performs senior level and complex technical aspects of EDW architecture, modeling, design, and development activities. Develops ETL processes and pipelines that create an optimal platform for data ingestion, integration, and retrieval in support of both internal and external facing applications. Performs all aspects of the development life cycle. Delivers results through impeccable work ethic and perseverance to seek growth.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field OR directly related year for year experience.
  • 6 years of ETL and /or database architectural design experience.
  • 3 years of professional experience with database technologies, data modeling and ETL/ELT tools and scripting.
  • 2 years of data management, data governance, and/or data warehousing experience.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with custom data modeling
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creates, develops, modifies, and maintains data models for internal and external facing data applications as part of an Agile/SCRUM engineering team.
  • Performs complex data modeling and associated data analysis based on industry best practices.
  • Delivers solutions to provide full product life cycle support, collaborating within and across teams, database development and deployment.
  • Explores new technologies and development techniques to foster innovation.
  • Coordinates and communicates with users, developers, and product owners to design and implement solutions that services the end user.
  • Mentors and develops junior engineers through code reviews, co-development and best practices.
  • Assembles large and complex data sets that meet business requirements.
  • Develops design patterns, standards, documentation, etc. and works with other developers for implementation.
  • Technical expert for providing data integration oversight for Third Party integrations and database core components.
