Manager, SAP Basis

KPMG is currently seeking a Manager, SAP Basis to join our Digital Nexus technology organization.  This role is a remote work opportunity. 


  • Provide technical support, resolve basis issues, optimizing services and ensuring the availability, performance & Application security of critical business systems
  • Serve as the subject matter expert, guide the creation of innovative solutions on time and within cost objectives and provide technical leadership and third level operational support
  • Implement a shared SAP BASIS & security organization while leveraging best practices to optimize efficiency across the portfolio
  • Provide quality and timely resolution of defects/ problems & addressing service requests using service management
  • Ensure Service Operations, Knowledge Management, Continuous Improvement, Service Level & Availability Management are operationalized across the team


  • Minimum of five years of SAP Basis experience in supporting components SAP ECC, CRM, BW, PI, SLD, Solution Manager, HANA, BOBJ BI/BODS, EP, Solution Manager systems in a globally deployed 24/7 environment
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Solid experience with SAP security operations, creating and maintaining SAP security roles & authorizations and design/development; proven experience in SAP system installation, upgrades, performance tuning, and administration and SAP architecture of applications running on Windows/UNIX OS, MSSQL/HANA and in cloud environment
  • Proven performance with configuring SAP NetWeaver Identity Management, SAP Single Sign-on, SAML, X.509 certificates, SPNEGO, and / or Kerberos with application like Datapower, ISAM
  • Demonstrated experience with a complete project cycle from inception to completion as an SAP technical lead for sub-projects of enterprise-level initiatives; experience with working in managed support environment
  • Strong verbal/written communication with ability to effectively interact with individuals at all levels of responsibility and authority; must be able to prioritize, delegate and foster the development of high performance teams to lead/support an environment driven by customer service and team work; ability to lead resources and multiple projects simultaneously as needed
