Sous Chef

Working alongside the amazing team at The Quail Lodge & Golf Club, we are seeking an Sous Chef to support our Food and Beverage Department.

Key Accountabilities

  • Maintain and enforce the highest standards of quality, service, and appearance of food items that leave the kitchen (including staff meals)
  • Work with staff to maintain kitchen cleanliness, and to ensure proper storage procedures are being followed
  • Follow all instructions from Executive Chef and respond to management direction
  • Stay current with culinary trends by attending industry trade shows or tasting events as required

General Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of culinary experience preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience preferred
  • Completed a formal culinary education program or have equivalent experience
  • A skilled multitasker with the ability to manage the day-to-day food operation while serving large banquet events  
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred, but not required
