Your role at Sephora:
As the Sephora Inside Kohl’s Writer, you are responsible for copy that supports Sephora’s marketing initiatives for our stores within Kohl’s, both in-store and externally. Reporting to an Editorial Content Director, you will write original, compelling, on-voice copy in a variety of channels as well as translate Sephora’s editorial messages to tailor them for Kohl’s-specific deliverables. You’ll also work under the direction of Senior Writers and Editorial Content Directors to support and assist in larger initiatives like naming, concepting, and competitive research.


In addition: 

  • Read briefs and translate marketing requests into action.
  • Form relationships with cross-functional partners on design, marketing, and merchandising teams.
  • Accept and reconcile feedback from both creative leadership and business teams.


We’re excited about you if you have:

  • 1-2 years of writing experience at a brand, magazine, website, or agency.
  • Experience working within a defined brand voice.
  • Commitment to developing copy that celebrates all beauty, including those who have been overlooked, underappreciated, and underserved.

  • Understanding of retail/ecommerce, including current industry trends.
  • Interest in beauty/fashion/lifestyle space, both retail and editorial (magazines).
  • Experience writing copy in various formats, in various channels.
  • Familiarity with social marketing platforms like Snapchat, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube.
  • Strong collaboration and critical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with tight deadlines.
