ISSO (Information System Security Officer) TS/SCI required

Description:

Command Post Technologies (CPT) is seeking an ISSO (Information System Security Officer) in Norfolk, VA.


The selected candidate will maintain the information assurance and computer network defense posture of the enterprise. They will conduct information assurance compliance testing using automated tools (e.g. SCAP Compliance Checker, ACAS/Nessus) and manual test cases (e.g. DISA STIGs). This position is the focal point for the coordination, execution, and maintenance of security programs addressing physical, information, communication, computer, operations, personnel, and industrial security.


Also, the candidate will review interconnection security agreements (ISAs), using NIST 800-47, ICD 503, and the DJSIG, to ensure the accreditation and information security standards of the infrastructure are maintained.

. Requirements:

Duties/Responsibilities include:

- Develop and implement a security concept of operations

- Maintain required IA certifications

- Maintain a repository of all security authorizations for IS under their purview

- Monitor all available resources that provide warnings of system vulnerabilities or ongoing attacks

- Conduct periodic testing to evaluate the security posture of IS by employing various intrusion/attack detections and monitoring tools (SCAP, ACAS)

- Confirm proper measures are taken when an IS incident or vulnerability is discovered


Required Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in a related field (experience may be substituted in lieu of degree)

- 4+ years of experience in a broad range of technical task assignments directly related to the proposed area of responsibility

- IAT Level II Security Certification (Security + CE or GSEC or SSCP or CCNA-Security)

- IAM Level II Information Assurance Certification (CASP, CISSP, etc)

- Must have at least an active TS/SCI clearance

- Experience with RMF

- Familiarity with the development of System Security Plans (SSPs) and/or supporting Assessment & Authorization (A&A) documentation

- The candidate must be familiar with NISPOM (DoD 5220.22-M) and ICD 503, and will perform all tasks necessary to plan, coordinate, and support the Assessment and Authorization (A&A) of the network enclave in accordance with the Risk Management Framework (RMF).

- Working knowledge of SCAP, ACAS, and DISA STIGs


Desired Qualifications:

- In-depth knowledge of NIST special publications, CNSS policies and instructions, and other requirements documents associated with the Risk Management Framework (RMF)
