JV Recruitment is currently seeking two experienced MIG Welders/Boilermakers for an immediate start at a busy pre‑cast yard located near Sunshine, Melbourne. This is an ongoing position with a steady workflow in a well‑organized yard environment. You will be predominantly MIG welding structural reinforcement cages and pre‑cast components, ensuring all fabrications are completed safely and efficiently to meet strict site deadlines.
We have a massive pipeline of work with multiple welding roles coming up across Melbourne’s Western/Northern Suburbs, making this a fantastic opportunity to secure long‑term, consistent local work. If you are a reliable, trade‑qualified welder, we want to hear from you!
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Structural and production MIG welding, predominantly in a pre‑cast yard environment.
- Fabrication and welding of reinforcement cages, plates, and structural steel.
- Welding in all positions where required while maintaining high quality and integrity.
- Reading and interpreting complex engineering, production, and workshop drawings.
- Participating in morning Toolbox Talks and adhering to site safety Inductions.
- Working independently and maintaining a clean, safe workspace.
WHAT YOU’LL GET
- $48 - $50 per hour + Super
- Meal Allowance (paid on shifts over 9.5 hours)
- Strong Overtime: Time and a half & double‑time rates paid for overtime

KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Cert III in Engineering (Fabrication Trade) or equivalent Boilermaking/Welding qualification.
- Valid White Card.
- Proven MIG welding experience required.
- Pre‑cast experience is a bonus.
- Full PPE (Hard hat, Hi‑vis clothing, Steel cap boots).
- Own Tools (Tested & Tagged).
- Immediate site readiness and availability.
- Own transport highly desirable.
