About The Role
We’re looking for a motivated Demi Chef to join our welcoming kitchen team at a busy education site in Parkville.
In this hands‑on role, you’ll help prepare fresh, nutritious meals for students in a fast‑paced school catering environment. You’ll work closely with experienced chefs, gaining valuable skills and building your career in a supportive team setting.

- Monday: 9:30am - 5:30pm
- Tuesday: 6:30am - 3:00pm
- Wednesday: 11:30am - 7:30pm
- Thursday: 6:30am - 3:00pm
- Friday: 2:00pm - 7:00pm

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and assist in the service of fresh, high‑quality meals, including bulk cooking
- Support Senior Chefs in daily kitchen operations
- Undertake general kitchen duties, including dishwashing and cleaning
- Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic work environment in accordance with food safety standards
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative kitchen team
- Deliver consistent, high‑quality food service within a busy catering environment
Skills and Experience
- Trade qualification in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
- Previous experience in a commercial kitchen or food preparation role
- Experience in school or large‑scale catering (highly regarded)
- Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
- Excellent time management and attention to detail
- Positive attitude with a genuine passion for food and service
- Ability to work independently and within a team
