We're a privately owned, well established 24/7 Veterinary Hospital looking for emergency vets to join our close-knit, caffeine-loving, adrenaline-fueled team.
The Important Stuff:
A varied shift including consultations, emergency surgery and hospital case management
One, two or three shifts available per week – you choose - Additional shifts are also available during the daytime for those seeking extra hours.
Accommodation within walking distance
Sponsorship available for vets with degrees recognised in Australia
Current registration with the Veterinary Practitioners Board is required
Working Holiday Visa holders with recognised degrees are welcome to apply
What We're Looking For
- Ability to perform emergency surgery
- Minimum 2 years of emergency surgery experience required
- Confident managing medical cases
- Comfortable working sole charge
- Emergency experience or postgraduate studies highly regarded
- Bachelor of Veterinary Science degree required
What We Offer
Casual Employment
- Hourly: $1,313.00 per shift (inclusive of superannuation)
- Commission: plus commission on selected services (including consultations and surgeries performed after midnight)
- Average commission earned in recent months: $400 per shift (excluding surgery commissions)
- Shift rate: $1,596.00 per shift (inclusive of superannuation)
- Commission: plus commission on selected services (includes consultations and surgeries performed after midnight)
- Average commission earned in recent months: $400 per shift (excluding surgery commissions)
Permanent Employment
- $1,159.00 per shift (inclusive of super) PLUS commission
- Plus commission on selected services including consultations and surgeries performed after midnight
- Average commission earned from recent months: approximately $400 per shift (excluding surgery commissions)
- $1,386.00 per shift (inclusive of super) PLUS commission
- Plus commission on selected services Including consultations and surgeries performed after midnight
- Average commission earned in recent months: $400 per shift (excluding surgery commissions) (this is in addition to the shift rate and excludes surgery commissions).
